Rayon McIntosh, the McDonald’s cashier who beat down two women who attacked him while he was doing his job, has been cleared by a NY grand jury, and will spend Christmas at home with his family.
After hearing evidence from witnesses, the grand jury declined to prosecute Rayon, prompting cries of “Hallelujah!” from family members.
In addition to his family, much of the public was relieved to see Mr. McIntosh released from custody. Because the attack and subsequent beating were caught on video, the case drew widespread attention, most of which was sympathetic to Rayon. As the news spread, supporters set up a “Free Rayon McIntosh” Facebook page, and numerous people weighed in with their opinions on YouTube. Most defended Rayon, and had harsh words for the women who attacked him without provocation.
As the general public tires of the entitlement mentality of women who think they can assault men with impunity, officials are beginning to catch on, and are no longer parroting the line that it is “never OK to hit a woman.” While using force is always a solution of last resort, self-defense is a fundamental human right, and should not be denied to men simply because their attackers happen to be female.
A higher-quality version of the video has been posted by the Free Rayon folks, and it gives a better idea of what was going on. For one thing, it’s clear that the “extra” licks he got in were actually to prevent his assailants from getting back up. This is exactly what the police do in a similar situation — as long as the subject shows any resistance force is applied.
Additionally, one can see an apparent feminist enter the scene near the end (the blonde woman) and have a meltdown, then scream for McIntosh’s arrest. Tellingly, she demands the police rather than an ambulance, which demonstrates that her main concern was that a man was defending himself from women rather than the fact that the women were in immediate need of medical attention.
