Studies Show Increased Likelihood for MRAs to Be Pansies

Pansy: a timid man or boy considered childish or unassertive.

I’ve noticed an increased likelihood for some people involved in the men’s rights proto-movement to pander to feminists and others who hate men. Here are three recent examples of misguided actions by MRAs (men’s rights advocates/activists) in the community.

1.
Men’s News Daily refers to masculism as hateful because apparently they don’t want to lose their (non-existent) female readership. At the same time, publisher Mike LaSalle has hosted countless articles stirring up hatred for Obama and anyone who isn’t a far, far right-winger, but these articles apparently aren’t considered “hateful or inciting”. Furthermore, editor-in-chief Paul Elam even stated quite recently at The Spearhead,

Because the day will come, no matter how psychotic you are when infatuated, that she will be sitting there talking and you will want to shove a recliner down her throat to shut her up.

If masculism is hatred (it’s not) then so is a statement indicating all women become nagging and tiresome after being with them long enough. You know what, that’s exactly how I feel about some MRAs!

MND censors honest commenters they disagree with. That women are biologically different than men and that men are better than women at many things is obvious. The people running MND do not appear to value dissenting opinions and are as emotional and hypocritical as any feminist. They could at least be consistent in their thought-policing.

Why do we care? Men’s News Daily has a good deal of influence on the men’s rights community and as a site that consistently appears on pages 1 and 2 of a Google search for “men’s rights”, it is likely to be a starting point for someone who is interested in learning more.

The False Rape Society becomes more about women than men. The blog description now reads, “Giving voice to falsely accused men and women,” as if women share a comparable burden with men when it comes to false rape accusations. That’s like a website that sells tampons claiming to give all-day protection to menstruating men and women.

The original website had this description: “News and commentary about wrongful accusations of rape and sexual assault.” Furthermore, the FRS consistently refers to “persons falsely accused of rape” rather than “men accused of rape,” which is the only accurate way of phrasing it. This is a subtle example of misandry from a website in the men’s rights realm. It is the same thing the media does when it refers to men and women dying in service even though men account for 98% of deaths in modern wars. When you watch a documentary on World War II they don’t talk about the men who died fighting for their countries, they talk about the “soldiers”, but whenever you hear about a man who commits a crime they are referred to as men. What does the FRS think will be gained by denigrating men while stroking the egos of women by insinuating there is a significant, or rather any problem of false rape accusations of women? They won’t gain the support of women on the false rape issue by appealing to women’s victimhood complex regarding something they are never victims of. In order to gain women’s support you must show them how false rape accusations can affect the good men in their lives. Be more honest and less politically correct, for our sake!

The FRS insults men, especially men who are raped by women, by implying that false accusations of rape against women (and by men) are common or even significant. It just doesn’t happen. For a man to be raped is perceived as shameful and unmanly. A man accusing a woman of anything, especially rape of a man, would be shunned as a misogynist because women are beyond reproach. Even if you have the courage to out your rapist, it’s extremely unlikely you will find justice in the law. False rape accusations simply do not happen to women because an individual falsely accusing a woman has nothing to gain from it – the law will not help them, the community will shun them, and generally things will only get worse for them.

The FRS is on page 2 of a Google search for “rape accusation”, but it does far more good than harm by raising awareness of false rape.

Reddit: Men’s Rights taken over by feminist apologists, misandrists, manginas, and women. This Reddit has become a place where good quality links are immediately down-voted by man-haters and beta males in an attempt to censor anything but the most PC pro-female submissions. They don’t always succeed and there are still some good articles submitted. However, many of the posters there are simply feminist attention whores who have nothing to contribute; they attempt to paint every genuine supporter of men’s rights as a misogynist, which isn’t really an insult. Zed has told us misogynists are made, not born. And as Hestia once put so well:

“Misogynist” might be an irksome term to have thrown your way, but in today’s world the term almost seems to be a compliment, as it means a person doesn’t sit back and take all the garbage the world wants to throw their way but looks around and comes to conclusions based on reality, however un-PC these conclusions might be. To be a misogynist nowadays is to value liberty and justice rather than the unearned special privileges and power to be a slaveowner that comes with the territory of being a misandrist. If a person must be one or the other, it seems clear to me which one is the bigger insult.

Schopenbecq of The Anti-Feminist has described the problem with Reddit: Men’s Rights before. He has created a men’s rights Reddit that doesn’t tolerate misandry but it is difficult to sustain as there are few MRAs who recognize that man-haters cannot be bargained with.

In conclusion, if we allow those (men and women) who are against us (mostly men) to dictate our strategy, we will fail to achieve significant accomplishments. Sadly, that’s exactly what Men’s News Daily, the False Rape Society, Reddit: Men’s Rights, and too many others in the loosely networked men’s rights community are doing. And too often they are in the habit of denouncing people – mostly men – who warn them of their error.
