At a news conference this morning, Central Washington University announced that it was not date rape drugs that felled a half-score young people at a party in Roslyn, Washington, but rather a fruity drink known as “Four Loko,” which is manufactured by Phusion Projects Inc., a Chicago company, and contains large doses of both ethanol and caffeine.
Of course, here at The Spearhead we already knew that.
Perhaps now that the real story is out, national news and talk shows will pick it up and let us know that their previous reports of mass rape drugging were sensationalist falsehoods cooked up by a few drunk, hysterical young women. Or, maybe not…
It seems that caffeine and alcohol are not always a good combination, particularly where young women are concerned, because an element of stimulation is added to the lack of judgment brought about by drunkenness.
