I’d really like to keep The Spearhead online, but the bills are getting to be a bit much for me at this point, and I can’t afford to subsidize the site myself. I rent a server for the site in order to host a WordPress installation, which allows multiple authors and a great deal more control than free sites, not to mention some protection from arbitrary shutdowns, which sometimes happen on free blogging services.

This requires more work on my part to maintain the software, and additional expenses.

I’ve devoted a great deal of time and energy to The Spearhead over the last three and a half years. It hasn’t been a particularly lucrative endeaver, largely because I tend to eschew the salesman approach, focusing instead on doing what I like best: writing with as much candor and honesty as possible. This is good for readers, but not great for business, so I must rely on donations to keep the site running and keep my head above water.

Currently, I’m at a point where running the site as a fully hosted, frequently updated source of content may not be feasible for much longer. My out of pocket expenses run about $2,500 a year, which isn’t a great deal, but that doesn’t account for the time and work I put into the site, which is considerable.

I’d really like to keep The Spearhead online as a resource for men who want to change the status quo. I think it’s an important part of the constellation of sites that have emerged to advocate for men, and indeed it’s one of the pioneers of the new approach to countering out-of-control feminism, which is starting to show real results.

If you support The Spearhead’s goals, or if you simply enjoy the content, please contribute to the site to help keep it online. I pledge to use every contribution to further its mission, and to make the most of every dollar sent in.

All support is welcome, including small donations. If every regular reader sent in only $5 per month the site would be fully self-supporting, and I’d have nothing to worry about. So please consider becoming a supporting subscriber.

However, I realize that this being the internet, it doesn’t work that way, so it has largely been a few generous donors who have kept the site alive. I am very grateful to those people, who have pulled my chestnuts out of the fire on a few occasions over the years. Without their support the site simply wouldn’t have made it this far.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the site over the years, and a big thank you to contributors as well. I hope we can keep it online and productive — with your help I promise to do just that.
