She's suggesting that felon women have it harder than felon men to get employment, because industries like construction are more tolerant of a criminal record.

That makes a certain amount of sense. Female-dominated industries (teacher, social worker, etc.) tend to require a criminal record check. Obviously, we don't have much evidence to support her claim, but it's not patently absurd.

Yeah that's probably fair. Women get the pussy pass and everyone knows it, so a woman that the system has to come down on has to be really fucked up. It's the same with women who don't have custody of their kids. If they lost to the father it's a black mark because what the fuck did they have to do to NOT get custody?

So I guess it's true but I don't think it's sexism. Because the assumption is true. Women really do need to do more messed up shit to get in trouble so it does say more about them if they do.

That's why she can't get a job.

Still if she happened to commit some crime that for some reason women don't get a pussy pass on (is there one?) and is being judged against the higher standard, she got the short end of the stick. Just doesn't sound like that's the case here.
