Well in conflict zones, it'll be civilian men and boys who are rounded up and massacred. Women are spared quite regularly. Few seem to question why refugees are overwhelmingly female or old men.

Western media will report that "people and children" were massacred or something, but if women were involved, they'll make a note of it. Next time you read a casualty report in the press, take note if they mention women were killed or injured.... If not, they were probably all male.

The targeting of civilian males is ignored all the time.

Google male gendercide. Serbia, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Darfur, etc...

That is certainly a men's rights issue, even if you ignore the reality and results stemming from the fact that men are the ones conscripted, and/or make up the most of the combat roles.

Men perform the more dangerous jobs such as infantry, jobs that women aren't allowed to enlist for. Its pretty much a given that more men are going to die in war.
