Why didn't this girl go to the police? Why does anyone think a school disciplinary committee is the place to bring rape allegations?

My impression has been that schools sometimes convince girls to go through the school rather than the police, to avoid bad PR. That isn't the case here, but I think that is why some women go through the school instead.

Legions of college administrators admit that their schools are ill-equipped to deal with the incredibly difficult questions of rape cases. But rape feminists cling to the kangaroo courts of the academy because it is a sort-of alternate justice where its easier to "punish" men accused of rape than in the justice system where there are real judges and rules and due process. The fact that it's a lot easier for college disciplinary panels to get it wrong and to punish an innocent man is of no concern to rape feminists.

Beyond that, the devotees of college rape "justice" do no favors for other women. Expelling, but not jailing, a young man accused of rape isn't going to keep him from abusing women somewhere else if he is a rapist, or even from abusing women from the college in the same place where the offense that led to his expulsion occurred. In a country where the majority of college students are commuters, booting a rapist out of school isn't going to stop him from frequenting the same off-campus hangouts where he committed his misdeeds as a student.

If we were really serious about protecting women from rape, we would insist that every report be turned over to the professionals in law enforcement.

Universities are so lame anymore. Glad I went to a tech school.
