I thought the article had some good points. Its easy for people to get caught up in the sound bites. And it seems like you're on the right side if you believe in equal pay. BUT, when most variables are accounted for, the gender pay-gap is at less than 10%. Which is reasonable given the infinite amount of factors that affect pay.

I think the thesis of the Article is probably right as well. The gender pay-gap wouldn't even be an issue at all if employers began to look at the value they get from their employees vs. the time the employees put in. In our modern culture, most non-labor jobs don't need one to be "filling the seat" during specific hours. It comes from factories where workers needed to be there for specific hours to operate at peak efficiencies. That's no longer the case. Pay and time shouldn't be linked as much as they still are. Pay and value should. Each employer should take a good hard look at whether their employees are costing them OR, making them money. Then compensate accordingly
