As much as I do want to see an actual scientific study on the reactions of people in this situation... I'd be willing to bet that the results would be similar.

Here's what I think is going on.

Women have value in their sex, and men want to have sex with them. So when a man tries to drug a woman, he clearly is going to rape her.

But a man's worth is not in his sex, but rather in his money. So if a woman drugs a man, clearly she is going to steal his money.

Now, both of these are despicable, and the assumptions can be wrong, but it can be argued that it is inherently worse to be raped than robbed.

Not that I'm excusing anyone involved, but when it comes to perceived motives, one is more acceptable than the other.
