I've been having discussions about these statistics the last few days, and have only a rudimentary understanding of economics. I'm hoping someone can explain how/why these changes are occurring beyond the obvious "women entered the workplace and our economy tanked" since, at least the first graph would indicate women have always been in the workplace, if not in the same numbers.
