In all seriousness, they're acting insecure for the same reason dating makes a lot of men feel insecure -- You're putting yourself out there when you're letting someone know you like them. As for what you do about it... that's kind of up to you. While I encourage treating fellow humans with a general base level of politeness, I'd encourage you to keep a modicum of emotional distance if they dig for too much sympathy-participation so you don't get caught up playing emotional janitor to randos. Save that mental energy for people you actually know and like.

My bad, i wasnt clear enough. I don’t want to date them, like I friendzoned one of them and she is still trying to make me feel sorry for her and she is all insecure. Its unnattractive.
