If you're a man with some resources and you get married and 5 years later get divorced and have no children and possibly your ex wife gets half of everything you have - how is this fair? This is nothing but legalised theft! Prenups are not recognised legal documents in some countries. Huge numbers of marriages end in divorce and most divorces are initiated by the woman. To agree to get married in these circumstances is at best the action of a hopeless optimist and at worse the village idiot!

Hasn't "poverty"(American poverty is rather luxurious to the 3rd world) increase over the years as well?

I'm glad that me and my fiancee are going into marriage with divorce as not an option and prenups are basically having your stuff marked and ready to be tossed in the car at the first sign of trouble.
