These are obviously elaborate fairy tales, but could they be a kind of warning from the past about women? The fall of man could be some kind of metaphor for women's true nature as tricksters up to nothing good doing terrible thing to men for their own amusement and appeasement. Eve giving Adam the apple and the result is in really a metaphor for how things inevitably end if you are lured in by the temptations women advertise.

Could it possibly be that patriarchies formed because when women reigned freely they simply rampaged society and drove every man destitute? It seems to be what is slowly happening today. Perhaps we have once again eaten of the apple.
