Here's the stuff Japanese kids watch. The woman in question has killed dozens of civilians yet the protagonists apparently struggles to kill her. No wonder Japanese kids end up fucked up.

I don't watch that show, but it seems like the entire plot line was that the guy loved the girl and/or she convinced him she loved him back. This wasn't a "I can't kill her because she's a woman!" thing, it was a "I can't kill her because I love her" thing. It would be like having the choice to shoot your wife. Some people just react differently to different things. Besides, the other guy took the gun and shot her no problem.

Also, saying "Japanese kids end up fucked" was a completely ridiculous claim.
