I'm seeing a girl who calls herself a feminist and says that feminism is synonymous with mens rights and that feminism is for the equality of everyone and mens rights is for men only.

We've been discussing this for a few days now and it's really getting to me that I could show her examples of how the feminist movement discriminates against males and she still calls herself a feminist and says she's for the equality of all and she doesn't have to agree with everything they say in order to call herself that.

To me, the word "feminist" is not equal in itself and I feel as if the whole movement does more bad than good nowadays. I know that nothing is perfect, so women still need to have a rights movement to ensure they continue in the right direction. I just think that if they don't agree with the many negatives about feminism, why do they subscribe to it?

This may be a terrible comparison but I tried to compare her calling herself a feminist to me calling myself a misogynist and I asked her if that was okay. Naturally, she says it's not okay but keeps going back to "text book definition" of how feminism is about equality.

Someone tell me what I should say. Or is there nothing to say and I'm just wasting time? Is there another word that she should subscribe we just haven't known about?
