We can talk about history when the next draft is being written. Working with the current systems isn't going to cause change. Nor is building them from scratch. The problem is that the system is chaired by humans that have unfortunately, biases. If we can create a system that minimizes biases then we're a step closer to equilibrium. Until then, well, we're just passing people on the street.

There seems to be a bit of what my father called a "let's you and him fight" aspect to that article.

It's easy to say "okay let's all do what I think we should do instead of what you are doing".

It is much harder to actually lead. We should forgive? No.. no we shouldn't. Forgiveness implies that the other party is sorry. Feminism isn't sorry and it isn't slowing down either. Now is not the time for forgiveness and appeasement.
