Software developer in a corporation. Office work and meetings happen a lot with both clients and superiors.

The current trend seems to be "clothes don't matter" but I believe that to be wrong. I have suits, shoes, good looking jeans (not even sure if this is the right name). Should I dress what I want? The best I can afford? Similar style as my superiors?
