I know there are people here with knowledge of Mormonism. I'm looking for some intel on it from a manosphere perspective.

I've been going to the most conservative Protestant Christian church I could find in town for about a year. First church I've attended. Has some good people, some bad people, like anything else I've participated in (and moved past) over the years. I think it's important to be in a community of believers. It's not perfect and I know nothing humans make will ever be. I don't feel I'm called to waste my energy trying to change anything there though, and it has severely offended me lately.

The pastor lets his wife give the sermon once every couple months or so. I've been willing to listen to what she has to say (despite 1 Timothy 2:12), but the last time she started spouting a bunch of women's lib nonsense that I'm just plain sick of. It's why I can't enjoy any popular media these days, the feminist propaganda is just too intense. 1 Timothy 2:12!!! That's what I get for thinking I could be flexible on that one!

I'm not entirely done with the place yet, but I'm looking for something that may not be there. I'm looking for people that are meaningfully different in culture from this awful corporate secular society. There are a few Mormon temples way closer to me. I've known some Mormons (and one ex-Mormon) that were utterly vile people and I got the strong sense they were more willing to fuck with people that weren't Mormon. I've also met and known of some Mormons that I consider to be absolutely wonderful people. I know they are a strong people and know how to look out for their own interest. I admire their strength as a culture. I also know the doctrines are way way out there if we try to put them on a Christian spectrum. Yet, they have a sense of authenticity that I think the majority of cucked Christian churches are entirely lacking.

On one level, I need to analyze it as an investment. Tithes aren't cheap. It's a hierarchical organization full of cliques and power games like all human groups. There will be an initiation process, and I'll be starting the game as a weak n00b. I know there will be decent people, and shitty people. Any heads up on how to go about exploring Mormonism without botching it and getting burned would be appreciated. Assume I've already read the history of Mormonism, the Book of Mormon, and a little bit of the theology around it.

P.S., I'm a mixed race male, physically fit, lower middle class tech worker, far-right conservative values, going on 30.
