All it took to convince most of the vigilantes was a date-stamped picture of a cute, smiling young lady, and I couldn't help but feel if it were a smiling, long-haired (for the wig donation, of course) young man, the pitchforks would still be out and ready.
To me this is just another example of society deeming women sweet and innocent until proven guilty, and men just the opposite. It's the same logic that gives a man 10-15 years in prison for statutory rape, and a woman 30 days time served, and 100 hours of community service for the same offense. Does anyone else feel this way?
