We need to get over the idea that it must be one or the other - that either women are completely truthful victims or utter liars.

It can absolutely be parts of both. A victim may milk the opportunity past all point of justice. A manipulative gold-digger may have been legitimately abused.

We need to think in terms of realistic punishments and realistic rewards, rather than this balls-to-the-wall winners get everything and losers get hosed mentality.

I'm sure she envisioned massive publicity and a quick settlement from the Sheen camp to hush up but it's not forthcoming. She's not making as much money as she thought she would after the incident, hence the civil suit.

Clearly opportunistic, the big surprise to me is that Gloria Allred didn't jump on this one.
