Hey so in general I guess you could say I am a little "out there". I don't rly pull my political beliefs out of my ass. But I research politics, sociology, economics CONSTANTLY

A lot of what I say seems to be contreversial. Ie. I believe that socialism and democracy simply can't coexist. I don't like sanders at all

I am at a uni that is completely liberal and everyone is a sanders supporter. I am a libertarian (the complete opposite)

I Read 48 laws of power and how to make friends and influence people. And I guess my "radical" beliefs which are really just well thought out ideas kind of piss ppl off. They get riled and think I am silly/unrealistic

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but at my uni, where no one reads economics, and every one gets their economics beliefs from a fb posts and never reads a book, anything but socialist is seen as stupidity

If someone asks me my political stance should I just shutup? What do I say?

I mean I explained I was a libertarian when someone asked, and I said ya. "You believe in gun rights, drugs legalization, prostituion being legal, and ending the federal reserve etc.?"

And I said yes. And explained my reasoning. People in the room just got angry and hostile. Put forth very dumb and not well thought out arguements. I mean if someone asks me my beliefs shud I just say "I don't follow politics?"

What about anything? Literally any area of life where I may b controversial should I just keep my mouth shut? Shud I lie? What should I say to dodge the question?

I mean there's that one law in the 48 laws that says ppl r scared by too much change. And I learned this the hard way. Ppl bitch endlessly bout politicians, but proposing any REAL or serious change, makes people freak out

I have met plenty of well read communists. I actually respect them despite disagreeing with them. But ppl here almost never read a damn book and expect to just regurgitate what the media discusses and to be correct? Like damn. Anything I say seems to get ppl hostile and at this point I have no clue how to handle these questions
