I've been giving a friend of mine advice for a while now, and he's lined up all his ducks and will be confronting his abusive wife with an ultimatum to go into therapy.

He has audio recordings of her abusive behavior, and the backing of a counselor who has determined she is abusive towards him and the kids, and is willing to back him in court and even gave him his personal cell number to use if the shit hits the fan.

I've done everything I can to make sure he's ready, but I don't think he's talked to a lawyer yet, and I'm so worried about him I had to take some of my anxiety medication to calm down.

So know that in the next couple of days, another abused husband will put his family's well being and future on the line. Send thoughts or prayers or whatever you like his way. He lives in Mass. and I'm in Texas, so I'm limited in what I can do from here. I know he reads this subreddit sometimes, but I don't know how often, or even if he still does.

I feel kind of bad because I didn't ask his permission to post this, but I'm freaking out for him.
