"She's taken away the innocence of our [boys]." First time I've ever seen boys referred to as having innocence to begin with, let alone being concerned with protecting it.

I guess I'm the minority, but I didn't care that much or know that much about sex until late into 8th grade. I would've been traumatized if somebody "took away my innocence" when I was younger than that.

According the the article, it wasn't a man or one of the boys concerned with the protection of boys' innocence, but one of the boys' mothers.

When I was a kid, I heard about other guys "losing their innocence", but it was something to be proud of, among the teens at least.
