In context, the quote was immediately followed by:

But that’s a gender issue that I won’t get into. Let’s stick with privacy.

The privacy issue is more important than the gender issue here, since if the judicial system believes that windows mean your home is no longer a private space, then that provides a mighty weapon that law enforcement can use against the Fourth Amendment.
