The merits of the movement aside, I found it "interesting" how the author instantly makes light of the word "misandry" without so much as even addressing the points it raised.

As one of my favorite quotes of late goes:

We did the same thing to the women's movement. We tried to ridicule them and marginalize them as bra burners and strident animus-possessed women. And now we're doing the same thing to men.

It occurs to me that psychologically akin to overpopulation is experiencing too many people in one's desired occupation. Many more people would like to be astronomers or movie actors or writers than the world is willing to support in those occupations. For some occupations, biographies tell us that it used to be a lot worse than it is today. Maybe people feeling crowded in their desired occupations tend to believe in overall overpopulation.

I always have trouble finding previous info at his site, but I just discovered the above paragraph. The section I was looking for talks about billion year sustainability (using nuclear power) and that we each need to have about 2 children that can contribute to society, otherwise we face marking ourselves as "dead weight" unable to support ourselves.

Ummm... Unless we choose not to have children, the overpopulation will continue. What doesn't the author see about that? This looks like a hit piece with a Fox News "laugh and call them idiots hoping others will blindly agree" attack.
