I had met this guy recently as we shared a large amount of mutual friends. I wasn't looking to date, but I did enjoy our conversations and we usually hung out with this same set of friends. I did think he was coming on a bit too strongly at times (even from day 1) but I'll admit a small part of me was flattered (note: we had never hung out together just the 2 of us, it was always with others). He had also been texting me multiple messages in a short time frame since our first meeting.

Then this past weekend, I was talking with another mutual friend and she mentioned that he had come onto her very strongly as well (about a day prior to me meeting this guy for the first time) - only to immediately ignore her after she told him that she was married. It's definitely not a type thing as this girl and I are physically very different. I spoke with a third friend who knows all the above parties and she said that she thought he was coming on to me so strongly at times that it was a bit creepy.

Overall, I think I dodged a bullet but I will also admit that I'm not that experienced with relationships as a whole. Maybe it was genuine interest, I don't know. My gut says probably not. However, I do want to thank FDS as younger!me would probably have easily fallen into the rabbit hole without considering if it was a good idea or not.
