So....I'm not sure when exactly this feeling started but I've fallen into what I believe is depression (not clinically diagnosed). This feeling has made me feel incredibly alone, and that like my life is somehow ending with zero future.

My boyfriend has a close circle of friends who he sees 1-2 times a week. Before all this, I have always been an advocate for spending time away from your partner and being with friends and nourishing friendships. However, I've seriously come to resent him because of this depression that I am going through.

I've been trying so hard to keep focused that it's important for him to see his friends but regardless, his outings has made me feel THAT much more alone and causes me great anxiety and depression when he leaves. The very thought that he is out having fun with friends while I am at home rips a hole in my heart. I absolutely feel like I cannot be alone during this time.

I used to be very social and miss my social life greatly. However, my friends over the years have gotten married, had kids and/or are completely broke which has caused our friendship to really dwindle.. Because of my lack of friends, I don't have the ability to really plan a whole lot when he goes out and I find it very hard to connect and make new friends in your 30's.

So my question is....should he be doing more for me knowing I am going through a weird time in my life where I feel like I can't be alone? Am I overreacting to him going out?

We are a long term relationship and live together.
