Taking it to the extremes here in regards to climate consequences, I still have hope we might be able to limit climate change, but that's neither here nor there. What is fact is that we have and will have more droughts, flodds, heat waves, freeze spells, forest fires, etc.
The only way we can survive in any shape or form is if we work together. If we can rely on each other, build community, watch out for the weaker/smaller members of our communities.
Imagine a L/Z/NVM in this scenario. He will take care of himself first and only, if he doesn't actually manipulate you to do so, at the expense of everyone around them.
A NVM will eat your (community's) food, drink your (community's) water, take up your precious resources without even thanking you for it. He will feel entitled to a full stomach, just as they do to our bodies now.
We collectively can't afford to have LV/ZV/NV men in our communities if we want to have a chance at survival.
Add to that the entitled mentality to women's bodies and we have a recipe for disaster.
So vet, vet, vet. Is your potential date somebody you would trust in a disaster to look out for you? Is he somebody that will share the last can of beans? Is he smart enough to delay instant gratification? Imagine all those Gamers and p0rn addicts with their instant gratification. Will they be able to hold out on eating those beans you need for seed next year if they're hungry? Will they resist raiding the weekly food rations if they feel any sort of hunger pangs? I don't think they will. They will manipulate you, hurt you, abuse you for your food just as they do for your body now. They will get angry and they will harm you if you won't share.
