A lot of people on the left have been discussing paying reperations to African Americans because muh slavery. However, I think a much more compelling case could be made for paying reperations to veterans.

I think many people forget that most veterans were in fact slaves. They were drafted against their will. Their lives were destroyed at young age because the society they lived in saw them as disposable.

I find it interesting that America seems to have this crippling guilt over slavery (even though every victim is dead) and yet people could less of a shit about the vets that are still alive.
