There is little doubt that rape is a horrific act and it would be great to live in a world where it no longer existed. But it does happen and will continue to happen - no way to prevent it.

Rapists are often opportunists and will target someone that catches their eye.

So the more revealing clothes a women wears and then puts herself into dangerous situations the more chance she has of being targeted. So yes dresscode does increase the chance of rape.

But it does not make someone who is not a rapist suddenly want to rape.

OP you are weird, dude. It's the dude's responsibility to control his urges and NOT rape anybody, woman or man. One of my sensible female friend told me that, women like to dress in such a way that they can "feel" sexy. Honestly I don't know what that means, but it's the women thing I guess.

Plus, women who wear skirts look cute AF, why would you not want them to wear skirts?

I don’t get the logic behind this, what if a woman is just dressed in revealing clothes in the summer to stay cool? Or if it just how they feel comfortable dressing? Why should they have to compromise because some freak can’t get his dick in his pants?

How would you apply this logic to men who rape men, or women who rape men, or women on women? Surely it can’t be because every single victim of both sexes and every sexual orientation dressed provocatively?

Do you at least agree that rapists shouldn’t rape and that it’s mostly a power/control thing? I genuinely want to understand your logic and mindset behind this, I disagree with your post completely but I want to know your thoughts on my questions and generally beyond the statement of “don’t want to be raped? Rape is terrible and can happen to anyone, no matter what you are wearing. People have been raped when they had every inch of skin covered by multiple layers of clothes. Disgusting how some people blame the victims instead of the criminal
