Sorry if I'm doing this wrong first time poster here. I've spent a lot of time on TRP and have used a couple posts on that sub to help pick out books. I'm currently finishing my senior year in high school and during second semester we take a senior seminar which is pretty much a semester course we choose rather than every other literature course we've had. But this is way besides the point. My point is the following. I'm only a few chapters in, but the entire series is all about male friendship and bonding. The Fellowship is just a handful of dudes banding together and getting shit done, something we all can agree is pretty fucking great. Now I realize LOTR is pretty fucking long, so if you don't have the time to read it, give the movies a watch. By no stretch of the imagination are they 100% faithful to the books, but they still get the general message of male friendship and bonding across.
