I’ll try to keep it short. I divorced my ex 2 years ago, June 2019. She left with our daughter while I was stationed in Japan in Fall 2018. My daughter (and her at the time) leaving spiraled me downwards and into hospitalizations and alcohol treatment facilities as I transitioned out of the military (finally out June this year). She tried to have me served in treatment, and was emailing me with a new google photo with a new guy and my daughter in a “family photo” looking picture in Dec 2018. I [further] lost it mentally. They are now married since this April. I signed the divorce papers with no lawyer at all, drugged up in a hospital- that’s how bad it got…. Last summer, a year after our divorce she asked me for an annulment- I laughed and said no, and she unilaterally did it through the Catholic church as far as I know.
Fast forward (relationship improved, not that testy) I’m now 4 months sober! ….. THEN A couple days ago I got sued by her for custody.
I’m in VA and she’s in Victoria, TX I need a lawyer and look to relitigate.
-I paid her $9600 while we were separated under the “we have 6 months to work on ourselves” guise while she was banging her new hubs. -I have paid +$150/month over actual CS -I know she has/had land in OK. She did no financial disclosure at all. How aggressive do I approach this? I’m afraid to lose what little time I do get with my daughter. YES WITH A LAWYER….I was willing to let all this prior slide, then this- I’m finally good and she can’t stand it.
P.S. she knows I’m sober P.P.S. the new hubs is also a sober alcoholic too, go figure 🤦🏻♂️
