A bit of a pain in the ass!

Finally pulled the trigger on hiring a lawyer after 14 months of separation to get the divorce process going. Lawyer is very well known as the one you don't want to have against you in divorce so figured that was the best one to go with. Had the free consultation last April and a paid consultation in September this year. Decided to pay the retainer as they couldn't/wouldn't go too far into the details without getting on retainer and looking at all my info. Understandable.

Sent me over the forms for the financial affidavit and the complaint for divorce that was prepared. I had questions on the financial affidavit since I currently pay for everything but they wanted it broken up by household. So still asking questions on that, send a list of changes I want to the complaint, and asking questions on uncontested vs. contested to see what's the best route to go with. Right now myself and STBXW are amicable and talk about what the boys are up to and such.

So waiting on these questions I have to get answered and see an email from them. It's all the documents from it being filed with the court system. What the actual fuck?! I didn't get to review anything before it was filed, they just sent it. My age is wrong, car information is wrong, things we talked about for the complaint aren't changed. I send an email stating all of that and get no reply, only a phone call a day later of the court date. I asked if they saw my email about the mistakes and questions and all I got was, well we already filed.

Stressed out already and it's just starting! I foresee a lot of working out and burying myself in work (more than I already am) just to keep myself from going crazy!
