Do you ever think about why prison rape is joked about so frequently in the US? It’s always in the context of a male raping another male in prison and both men and women make jokes about it. It’s also joked about in media. Why is this? Why is it in any way funny that men who are sentenced to prison are also sentenced to be raped? This has bothered me for so long, it’s very disturbing.
