I grew up in NYC. I saw so many men bragging about their wives' educational accomplishments or their jobs to fellow colleagues/family. I saw so much assortative mating amoung New York's most educated and wealthier classes however nowadays, I am seeing the opposite online.
Lots of men in the manosphere are saying they prefer women without an education. That women should prioritize their early 20s in locking down a "high value" husband 10+ their senior as soon as possible to raise a family. That their education and themselves are worthless after 30. I see this from both white and black men in red pill although it's definitely leaning into the black manosphere more so. Either way, is the culture just shifting or is it only certain demographics that value education and careers in their wives? From my personal experience, I mostly see men in my field who are engineers marry their equal. Now I'm wondering if maybe they don't really want an educated wife but someone just young and innocent. Someone to mold. Is a woman's education of any value to a man? What do you all think?
This isn't a troll post. I am seriously asking. In my opinion it's a class issue but men are so vocal on the internet I'm unsure.
