Sorry if my spelling and formatting is off. Typing from my phone on vacation.

Long time lurker. I've posted here a couple of times in the past. About 4 years ago I was sitting at 245 pounds with a high body fat percentage, and fresh out of an engagement to a woman that had cheated a week before our wedding. I was pretty blue (pill). Fast forward to 2014 and I'd lost 70 pounds, put on some muscle, discovered TRP, and was moving to a new city across the country, life was pretty grand. I'd been able spend my time lifting, pursuing personal hobbies and development, all while sleeping with a number of women on a semi regular basis.

At some point, an unsettling feeling began to take hold of me; the desire to get back into a LTR. After this realization, the fun in pursuing and sleeping with so many women began to subside. I found myself evaluating them for marriage. Seeing how eager they were to fuck right after meeting turned me. I didn't like the idea of being with them any longer than it took to orgasm. Not long after, I met a girl who seemingly met my expectations. She was attractive, not gorgeous but selfless and kind with a somewhat introverted view on the world and she was comfortable with herself. We clicked and have been dating for over a year now. For just over 6 months our relationship has been long distance. In pursuing my goals in the military, I've relocated to a different duty station. We'd talked about marriage on and off. She's enrolled in college while I'm doing my thing. We've visited each other in our respective states since my move and have made a conscious effort to keep our relationship alive and well.

A few months ago I decided I'd propose on her next visit. Now, I'm presently engaged, on vacation, and I've hit a brick wall. We got into an argument (no big deal, it happens but...) and I saw a side of her I'd never seen before. In this argument that spanned an entire day and a half she could do no wrong and was so justified, so self-entitled, child-like, and I was the bad guy; a one sided conflict. I had my flaws, we both lost our temper and I admitted as such in the argument but she was steadfast in doing no wrong. One of the things I'd been so happy with was our ability to work through issues and take responsibility for individual actions and faults while helping each other. She has since apologized but now, for whatever reason, I can't un-see this "other side" of her. It's making me less attracted to her by the day. She's picking up on my feelings I think. Smothering me constantly (something she hadn't done in the past) even when I've explained that after an argument like that, I need my own space. Her excuse is, she has needs too and wants physical acknowledgement.

With only a few days left in our engagement vacation I'm thinking about waiting until she's back home (so she won't freak out and do something irrational), calling her, and breaking things off. I'm much too selfish for this engagement/relationship. I want most of my time to be my own, free roaming, and pursuing my own goals/agenda. Now I just feel trapped. She knows I like time to myself but is constantly pushing for us to be out doing something every second of this vacation and gets pouty when those things don't happen. She'd been convincing throughout our relationship that she was the opposite of this.

My ideal woman is someone that can compliment and accept my lifestyle, has her own goals and hobbies, takes care of herself, and keeps her cool in an argument (all things I thought my current fiancé had until now/unicorn woes).

She's out for a walk now, in an attempt to give us space (not exactly what I meant with space). Truthfully, I think what I'm dealing with isn't out of the norm, even for a successful relationship or marriage but I just think I'm not ready to commit. Too much of what I want revolves around me right now. What do you think guys?
