Crosspost "Found out that my Dad isn’t my biological father…" from /r/Advice:

(29f) I took one of those dna tests to find out your heritage and a year later I was contacted by a man I never knew stating that he was my father. After checking the dna match online, it showed that this man was 100% matched to my dna as my father. He said that he knew my mother in high school and knew my dad too. He seems nice enough and doesn’t want anything but to get to know me. Im not really worried about him but more so about my mom and dad. Do I tell either of them? My mom is a bit off her rocker and might deny it, despite dna results. I feel like this could upset my dad a lot too though. I kind of do want to know him more and his son is pretty nice and wants to know me more too.

What would you do if you found out that your Dad wasn’t actually your father? I want to get a test done but that might involve my dad and I don’t really know how to go about saying anything.

I’ve been so foggy the past few days and I don’t want to cause any unnecessary trouble but this is insane.
