If I'm remembering correctly, this was the incident where the group of female teenagers were harassing and pushing another patron at the mall and prevented them from leaving the area. Believe it was a white mom and son, or maybe older sister (from the same school) and little brother, being yelled and pushed on by the group until the man intervened. Got the other 2 out, but then was the sole target, didn't have any of it, but once a couple of them started pushing on him, he pushed back and showed them equality by reciprocating their actions back on them. He later stated that although the internet and many advocate for his stance and involvement, he deeply regretted for swinging on them and that they are just foolish kids who didn't deserve the punches, just the shoves.

Edit: shared a news link below, happened back in August 2019 near the end of the month. N. Carolina man, "mall punch" are a couple key terms to find more. A bit busy at the moment to really give a TLDR for it. Sorry.
