So basically, Wilma and Betty were fed up with their husbands gallivanting about on Saturday nights while the wives stayed home and cleaned the house. Then Fred and Barney came in and got muddy footprints everywhere and didn’t seem to care. (Which I definitely agree with Wilma, I’d also be pissed off !) Wilma got the idea to “sleep teach” Fred to do whatever she wanted. Betty did the same thing to Barney. And it did work until the guys overheard the wives talking about it (and starting to feel guilty) and then they tried to teach them a lesson which nearly got them all arrested.

The baby Pebbles actually “told” Wilma it was a really sneaky and rotten thing to do but Wilma kept reassuring her “it’s all part of being a girl!” Then at the end, the wives realized how wrong it was that they took advantage of their husbands, sincerely apologized and all was well.

Do you think, had something like this aired today, would the wives apologize at the end? Or would they still think what they did was justified, and the guys would just be like “yes ma’am.”? I was getting very annoyed at this episode until Wilma realized it’s NOT ok, just because she’s female.
