I don't think Redpillers are opposed to the empowerment of women so much as the infantilizing privileges granted to women under the guise of empowerment in this particular time and place. Life for most of human history was precarious, so the diffusion of decision making powers through an elaborate kinship and ceremonial structure embracing the most vulnerable elements functioned as a form of security against excessive risk. Women and old men had little to gain, and much to lose through violence. Something like 60% of archaeological remains in North America bear the signs of an unnatural death. These societies made productive use of the instinctive conservatism of their women to the degree required by their ecology. Pretty Red Pill.

That's a good point, and akin to the discussion I wanted to have.

Here are a few things from the article that don't align with trp
Explain your thoughts on what trp is and how this information doesn't align with it.

It goes against the idea that women can't do anything to help a society when put in positions of power.

That's a link about a TV show. Can you explain how you interpret it as meaning TRP believes "women can't do anything to help a society when put in positions of power"?

It's all in the comments. Obviously the comments on that thread don't necessarily represent all men of trp but in general trp says women need a leader and need guidance. Which is why I posed this question, because it seems to be more or less correct.

I know what the comments say, I just want you to present your interpretation of what you've read here. Once that's been clearly established we can more easily tease apart your presumptions about this sub from reality. Otherwise, we'll be directly commenting on the reality while you'll counter by vaguely alluding to typical mischaracterizations.
women need a leader and need guidance
In general or in a relationship?
