if your own personal game mode/mask causes everyone else to BELIEVE that you are cool, then you actually ARE cool.

So this is my first month of using English in daily life. Just moved to Cali last month from another country and I'll be staying here for +5 years. First time here. Culture difference is real.

I want to imitate what works. I want to observe and memorize behaviours of "cool" man in various social situations.

After some research and thinking, I came up with a list. I know I should do these but I don't know how to do these well. Do you have any tangible/actionable advice?

  • Talk louder, simpler, more clear

  • More kino, friendly/manly touches

  • Stop being serious. Find things to mock/joke about

  • Shit test others

  • Make boring/regular things sound interesting. Like this guy do. His job is to make normal things look/sound cooler than they are.

Do all those and also,

  • Find cool hobbies

  • Make your work sound interesting

  • Develop a big laughter. I usually laugh silently

  • Pretend that I have friends, a busy life, plans for weekends and I am happy and content with myself and my life

Just for the record, I'm okay with change. If I want the most from this life, I need to change my character to utilize life better.

TLDR: The bold parts
