As long as they can do the job without having to off-load the difficult tasks on the few men remaining, I really don't care if they are men or women.

But I doubt they can.

There was a debate probably 10 years ago in my country about mailmen and their weight. The not-overweight mailmen didn't want overweight colleagues.

"Fat shaming!" the big boys and girls went.

It had nothing with fat shaming to do. It was about their health and workload of those who were not overweight.

You see, being overweight means that going up and down stairs in apartment buildings was too hard on the knees and the body in general if you lugged around a lot of fat.

So what did they do? They requested less strenuous routes without any stairs of course! This naturally meant that rather than distributing the stairs vs not-stairs evenly among the employees, those who were of normal healthy weight were left with ALL the routes with stairs. Yay!

I'm guessing that it's going to be the same with these mounted police - the men are left with a disproportionate number of difficult routes and jobs.

I had a customer come into my family business the other day.. she made a comment that she loves to support women owned businesses like mine. My husband was standing right there with me. What a dumbass!
