So I think the Roe vs Wade decision indicates that the elites are giving up on the Republican party. The reason nobody changed Roe vs Wade for years was to keep single issue Pro-Life voters anchored to voting Republican which was needed to balance out the two corporate parties and divide the working class. This decision now frees up single issue Pro-Life voters to vote Democratic party, which has become the party of elite interests now as many politicians have fled Trump's Republican party.

I figured they'd just rig the Republican primary as they did the Democratic primary to swap Biden for Bernie. But they didn't. It seems like they are having a hard time doing the same thing on the Republican side. This is probably because everything is already set up to rig the Democratic primary over many years and 2020 showed powerful just how supine Democratic voters are. Bernie had a historically unprecedented lead and they just said, "no, now Biden is going to win" and everyone simply accepted it. Not only did they accept it but they were trained to clap like seals and say "Republicans are so dumb to think US elections are rigged."

The irony.

Now I don't think the voters are any different it's just that they've been trained differently.

Republican voters have been trained to vote for any shitty candidate and not care. Democratic voters vote for a better candidate but are trained to not care when their primary is rigged. But then along came Trump. Suddenly Republicans had a real choice. And look at how Republican voters think about election rigging now. Would Republican voters lie down for a last minute switch like the Democrats did in 2020? Maybe ... m-a-y-b-e they would but it's risky.

So until there's infrastructure and propaganda to make Republicans accept primary rigging it looks like the elites are just bailing on the Republican party. That's why we see people like George W Bush now being praised by Democratic party leaders -- they merged the parties and left Trump with the Republican party "rump".

This also means they can use "Macron" tactics to get elected. They demonize Trump (or whoever it is) as Hitler / Nazis and they run against the Nazis. Everyone in the country thinks the Biden-style candidate is dog shit but it doesn't matter as long as the only other choice is "literally Hitler". In France, Macron wins by running against literally the Nazi party of France. Of course this means they have to make sure to boost the Nazi party of France so it beats other "3rd parties" into France's final play-off. A bit like the way the media boosted Trump in 2016 until he won the primary and then turned on him.

So it looks like the US will run as a one party state for a little while now if they can pull it off. I mean I know it always was in practice but now it'll be one by appearance too.

But will moving single issue Pro-Life voters to vote for Biden really work? The only way to make it work is to really hammer on the idea that Trump = Hitler so people have "no choice" even if everyone sees that Biden is dog shit.

Of course in reality Biden is the one with a long history (to the present day, and not just in Ukraine) of employing Nazis to do his dirty work. But reality doesn't matter at all, only perception matters.
