Stop glorifying women, African Americans, and people in the lgbt community. As a black women who is bisexual, I hate it when we treat people who are like me as cool and popular and special. It is not special to be black, or gay, or trans, or a women, ect. We give these people special attention and then proceed to treat people who don’t fall in these categories like shit.

We hate on straight, cis people just for not being lgbt and not understanding what it’s like. We call Caucasians white-trash and blame them for things that happened hundreds of years ago and are out of their control. People say phrases like, “I hate men!” “Men are disgusting!” and refuse to see why that could make a man feel hurt or upset.

All of this is bullshit because when we turn any of these situations around and, for instance have a man saying he hates women, people riot and have protests and cancel people. Y’all are such hypocrites.

And forget using history as an excuse! People today cannot control what their grandmothers and grandfathers did or believed. We are punishing them with insults and anger and judgment for just being born themselves.

Sound familiar?

Yeah, that’s something lgbt, African Americans, and women have all gone through. So why the fuck are we continuing this horrible cycle?! Don’t let one bad experience you had with someone effect the way you treat other people like them. There will always be bad white people and bad cis people and bad men. But there will also always be bad black people and bad gay people and bad women. We have to stop hating large groups of people for things they can’t control. Nobody choose to be born white or straight or a man. They shouldn’t be hated just because of what people who share similarities with them have done.

So Next time you say, “I hate men” or “cis people suck.” or “white people need to shut up” put the words gay or black or women in those sentences and remember that you are only continuing this sad cycle of hating and/or glorifying others for their sexual orientation, gender, and the color of their skin. Be thoughtful with what you say. Don’t become like the ones you hate so much.
