A father claims his son was taken from him while he was staying at a domestic violence shelter under suspicious circumstances.

A father of a toddler wrote a narrative. He said he was staying with his toddler at a local domestic violence shelter with his toddler son. He said the shelter manager made a false accusation that his room was unclean and was going to kick him and his son out. The father called CPS help, but when they arrived the CPS workers acted suspiciously, and they took his son from him claiming that he turned down resources. The father claims he called them every day and the CPS workers had no warrant or other paperwork.

Here is my reply in the hope that it may help other parents and their children who perceive similar injustices, and who may be seeking justice for themselves and their children.

It seems like you're claiming that others are knowingly making false statements about your conduct as a victim of domestic violence, the cleanliness of your room and your acceptance of services, possibly due to sexist animus, harming you and your child.

Fraud

Fraud is both a civil tort and criminal wrong.

In civil litigation, allegations of fraud might be based on a misrepresentation of fact that was either intentional or negligent. For a statement to be an intentional misrepresentation, the person who made it must either have known the statement was false or been reckless as to its truth. The speaker must have also intended that the person to whom the statement was made would rely on it. The hearer must then have reasonably relied on the promise and also been harmed because of that reliance.
