This is why you get so many women patting themselves on the back for raising a kid. They don't consider harder jobs to fall within their realm of possibilities. Most women would not even consider oil rigging, medical school, crab fishing, or disaster response to be within their possibilities of occupation. They do shit like secretary, HR, office work, libart student until husband etc... and compared to that, being a mom IS the hardest job. Those other harder jobs don't exist in their reality.^1
