hi everyone! i’ve heard many bad experiences from men who called up hotlines for things like domestic abuse, sexual abuse, etc. and not get taken seriously. it happens too often when talking to hotlines, professionals, and even the people closest to you.

i just came across a website called 1in6.org, which specializes in helping and supporting men who are victims of sexual abuse. given that this is specifically for men, if any of you need to talk to somebody, this might be a good resource for you to use.

please use this post as a thread for exchanging helpful resources and voicing your experiences. men who are victims of SA are not given enough of a voice. here is an opportunity to get things off your chest and be heard, in case you need it.
