According to study.com a "Rite of Passage" is a person's, both girls and guys, participation in certain rituals to mark stages of their lives and their place in society. These events and rituals are connected with a person's "coming-of-age" and becoming an "adult".
With the structures of modern society, these things can be nearly impossible to complete (unless you're part of a healthy support netwrk) as SoCiEtY dictates instead that at you must go to college, get the career, find the life mate, have the baby, etc. before they're even offered the ability, if they get it at all, to complete their Rites. Some of these Rites are meant to be from the biological or physiological parts of us and designed to symbolize a teen's, both girls and guys', passage into adulthood. But others are cultural or societal and tell the community (or village) at large that a person is now "ready" to be a "contributing member of society".
Red Pill is clearly mostly comprised of people, like myself, who were denied our Rites for whatever reason (usually due to a dysfunctional and/or abusive upbringing, overly enmeshing parents, raised by immature parents, criminals but not wanting to be one ourselves, etc.) and are stuck, in a lot of cases, going through them later in life. Sometimes even a decade or more late, which can make us feel very alienated from a wider society.
But commonly due to our history of abuse and unhealed traumas, recalibration from a PTSD-like, dysfunctional, and/or hyper-vigilant mentality to a adulthood/community-based mentality can be extremely difficult, especially when it's outright denied (more so that it gets denied from the very people who are either abusers themselves or can't even comprehend that upbringing because they were graced with a "good" one).
These Rites are greatly withheld from the people that need it the most and can't always afford a therapist or specialist to help guide them. This is the void these pop up cults are filling and will continue to fill until people are given that space and time to complete them. My version of Red Pill used to be that. What happened to that and why is it now teaching people to be the predators we once vowed to fight off?
I've had many young men try to get in a relationship with me, which is flattering, but I always have to turn them away, sometimes when I don't even want to, because things like this are sacred to me. I deeply understand the need for them before I can be with the "man" that wants to be with me. I know that this might stem from the fact that I'm deeply spiritual, but in reality, these ceremonies happened for thousands of years prior to Red Pill's formation and are necessary for the healthy development of a "man" or "woman" that were not graced with a proper education on these social "rules".
Red Pill coaches used to get this and teach it, and now it seems to be presented as if this wisdom is for "men only" which is simply not true. They're teaching abuse as a strategy when we used to be taught how to look out for it and be aware of it. They're now teaching to bulldoze through a person's boundaries when that's exactly what happened to a lot of us that found Red Pill or Red Pill Women to begin with. What the Hell is happening to Red Pill? Did everyone give up and just make it this fuck all because we can't get others to behave how we demand?
