I’m a 33 year old actor going through a divorce. Let me start by saying that I’m the one who mostly fucked up my marriage. I was a shitty husband. I regret it everyday when I should have broken it up earlier.

My wife and I got married young in the Mormon church. I was 22 she was 18. This was back in 2015 when we were in college in Utah. We moved to be closer to her family in Washington when we found out she was pregnant and that didn’t work out. So I joined the military and I moved my son and wife with my mom in Alaska. Then we left Alaska and moved to back to Utah.

We moved back to Utah but I ended up leaving the Mormon church a few years ago. Utah doesn’t do any good for my mental health. I joined the military mainly for the VA loan which is 0 down for a house. I did leave her and my son with my mom when I had training a few times. I went on to get my bachelors degree and a started acting. I booked a couple roles for big networks and I got an agent in LA. My wife and I both want a divorce but I don’t want to stay in Utah. I want to move to LA. What should I do? What hurts is when she says everything I did didn’t help her be successful at all. That’s mainly because we rent a room in a house for $600. My son is 7 and I’m just trying to pay off debt to get a house. She thinks all I did was for nothing.

Guys I know I did wrong, what’s the right things to do?
