I'm having a really hard time right now dealing with insecurities and could use some of your thoughts. It stems from losing my v-card very late at 21 and having bouts of low confidence and even depression as a result. I had a bit of a unique upbringing and didn't really get outside of my comfort during college. I've rectified that since, and have few issues with women now. The plus side to being fairly inactive in college is that I focused on my fitness and my grades and have a top 5% GPA as well as a very high level of fitness. This allowed me to become a member of a fairly elite organization with a rigorous training/hiring process, but I feel like I don't belong. I'm surrounded by very squared away, alpha male guys and I can't help but feel like an imposter, I doubt any of these guys were late bloomers and if they found out I was I would be viewed very differently. This is despite the fact that I've improved immensely over the years and can go toe to toe with any of the guys and am often first in many fitness/proficiency tests. I have a great reputation within the group as a guy who carries more than his own weight and am definitely 'one of the boys' but I'm worried that this could change if any of them found out. It's really beginning to weigh on me and eat me up inside. Further, I am worried that someday I'll find a solid woman who I'm interested in for a LTR but that as soon as they find out I was a very late bloomer they'll lose attraction despite the fact that I'm now a pretty jacked guy with a degree and a badass job. What do you all think? Is my perspective out to lunch? Should I be concerned about LTR's and whether attraction will fizzle if that ever comes out? Am I overthinking what the other guys might think if they found out?
I don't know what to think and it's eating me up. Any perspective would be greatly appreciated.
